I have Afro type 4c hair with frontal crown thinning and this is also causing my natural hair to knot. I think I may need to wear a wig but would prefer not to as I am so embarrassed about my appearance!
Since my 2nd pregnancy 14 months ago my hair loss has been very bad. The doctors said I should give it time when it started falling out and that a loss was normal. As it is continuing I am now getting concerned. Can you help?
For the last few years I have had problems with a balding patch at the back towards the top of my head. I have been taking tablets from boots called hair skin and nail tablets, they have helped a little bit but now don’t seem to be doing anything.
No never! I have no idea why this misconception exists. If you have bleach applied to your hair and it causes damage (also incorrectly cared for following) it could cause breakage (perceived as hair loss often) or in a very small cases a burn to the scalp.
Visitor’s Question: Hello, I was told I had Alopecia about 2 years ago now, hair has fallen out and come back on my head including my eyelashes and eyebrows, I wasn’t offered a treatment or support and I was just wondering if there was anything you could suggest? Thanks Asked by Miss X from Littlehampton,…
No, there is no external cause of hair loss. With the exception of hair that is out of condition or broken due to over processing or excessive heat- which is not strictly falling out, but many patients perceive the hairs in the brush/wash to have fallen out.
I am 15-years old and having irregular periods for last few months now. I am also experiencing hair loss. When I run my hands through my hair, clumps of hair comes out and my hair is all over my cloths. I would like to now if there is a link between the two, and if it’s anything I should be worry about?
I am suffering from hair loss. Can Mane ‘n Tail shampoo help me with this problem?
