In this video, Consultant Trichologist Shuna Hammocks talks about Male Pattern Thinning, also known as Androgen Dependent Alopecia.
I want to talk to you today about Male pattern thinning as its known or Androgen Dependent Alopecia.
This can affect men of all ages from puberty with varying degrees of severity. Many men complain of feeling increasingly more self-conscious about their hair. It is inherited genetically and presents as hair becoming increasingly finer on the top region of the head causing the temple area to thin and the scalp becomes more visible. This condition is connected to the circulating Androgen Dihydrotestosterone and not due to an imbalance of the hormone systemically and can be treated. Contrary to the belief of medical peers at Sussex Trichology in many cases we can stabilize the thinning. I feel it most important you fully understand the condition and the treatment offered here. As with all conditions treated you will receive on-going monitoring and support. If this condition sounds similar to yours please don’t hesitate to contact me and I can help you further.
